those look like paint adhesion test areas. you cut the paint with a sharp knife, then apply special tape and lift it up. then see how much paint delaminates at the corners of cuts. its a destructive test used in quality control.

IVE ALWAYS THOUGHT ALL THE MANUFACTURER/OEM LITTLE DIFFERENCES AND OPTIONS WERE SO COOL !! FROM THE 60'S ONWARD. CARS DEFINITELY DONT HAVE ALL THE DIFFERENT ENGINE OPTIONS LIKE THEY USED TO THANKS TO CARB/EPA CERTIFICATIONS ETC BUT SURE WOULD BE COOL TO HAVE MORE THAN 1 OR 2 ENGINE OPTIONS ETC.

Clean it and clear coat it then find all new old stock and put UT back together
